Villa Gendang is located less than 200 metres from Seminyak’s famous Eat Street, allowing you to dine your way through the area’s best restaurants without even having to hail a taxi. Villa Gendang hits all the right notes when it comes to design, too. There are touches of Bali here, but with inspiration drawn from Japan and Singapore, the effect is sleek and sophisticated rather than shabby chic. Villa Gendang Living
Villa Gendang embraces its Balinese surroundings yet adds an alluringly modern twist. Lush green gardens, white Palimanan stone walls and expertly chosen mementos nod to Bali’s tropical lifestyle, while the villa’s monochromatic design and minimalist architecture draw inspiration from the Black and White Houses of Singapore. A lot of care and dedication has been put into creating this beautiful and highly liveable space. On a sultry summer’s day, the cross ventilation in the living areas feels simply divine.
Living Room
The living room runs the full width of the main house, framed by views looking over the pool and garden. You can leave the glass doors open to enjoy tropical indoor-outdoor living or close them when you want to cool off with the AC turned on. The living room is nice and large – the undeniable social hub of this villa. The lounge area features beautiful white sofas and a large flatscreen TV mounted on the wall. The TV is framed by bookshelves adorned with beautiful art and curios nodding to the villa’s Balinese surroundings.
Dining Room
Positioned just behind the lounge area is the villa’s long timber dining table. Surrounded by elegant wicker back chairs, the table seats 10 and offers lush views of the pool and garden as you dine. The dining area extends to a sleek, fully fitted kitchen where you can whip up meals or poolside snacks, or simply store cold beverages in case you choose to dine out every night of the week – the villa’s location right by Eat Street certainly makes this a viable option!
Garden & Pool
Villa Gendang offers guests a private slice of paradise. The villa’s pool and garden are cleverly sandwiched between the main house and the guest pavilion, creating a relaxing little oasis that feels completely hidden from the rest of the world. The 15-metre-long pool is the obvious star of the show, surrounded by white sun loungers and matching parasols on either side. A fabulous white lounge area positioned beneath a pergola offers even more opportunity for alfresco living.
Villa Gendang Bedrooms
Villa Gendang features five bedrooms. One of the highlights of this villa is that the bedrooms are all near identical, so no one has to squeeze into a smaller room or settle for fewer amenities. All rooms feature king-sized beds, TVs, and generous ensuite bathrooms. If guests prefer, each king-sized bed may also be converted into two single beds.

This room is located next to the villa’s entrance. The room is adjacent to the second bedroom and looks out to the pool through glass doors. The room is furnished with a king-sized bed, work desk, TV, occasional chairs, and generous closets. The ensuite bathroom has a light and luminous design and it features a bathtub, shower, dual sinks, and a toilet.

This is one of three bedrooms located on the upper floor of the main building. Framed by a wraparound balcony that looks over the pool, the room is furnished with a king-sized bed, work desk, TV, and closets. Villa Gendang Layout
Villa Gendang is a five-bedroom villa that’s divided into two pavilions. The first pavilion houses the villa’s entrance which is framed by a bedroom on either side. The main house is located on the opposite side of the 15-metre-long swimming pool. It houses the living and dining areas on the ground floor and three bedrooms on the upper floor. Two of the upstairs bedrooms interconnect.
Villa Gendang Staff
Your stay in Villa Gendang is made enjoyable by the professional staff. Villa Gendang’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.
Villa Manager
Villa Gendang’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.
Butlers
Butlers are on hand daily to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout your stay.
Security
It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.

Villa Gendang is located in the vibrant Seminyak neighbourhood in Bali, Indonesia. The villa offers a fabulous location: just a few steps from the action yet hidden away from the noise and from the nosy gazes of passersby. This villa is a walker’s paradise as you can reach everything Seminyak has to offer without getting in a taxi or hopping on the back of a motorbike. The villa is tucked down a cul de sac just 150 metres from Jalan Kayu Aya, aka Eat Street. This long strip offers a near endless selection of restaurants, cafes, spas, and boutiques. The Seminyak Square and Seminyak Village shopping malls are about six minutes away. You can also reach the iconic Ku De Ta beach club in about 10 minutes.

Recently we stayed 10 days with two other Dutch couples in the lovely Villa Gendang in Seminyak, Bali. We had a great time. The staff is wonderful and kind. In the daytime they were there for us, whereas during the night a guard was also available.
Our sleeping room was very clean, air-conditioned, and very spacy. Same goes for the perfectly airconditioned adjoining bathroom. The beds are large and perfect, whereas the bathroom is very well equipped (lovely soap and bath foam!). There are plenty wardrobes, sufficient space for luggage even a small desk. A very large TV-screen tops it off.
The massive swimming pool right in the middle of the Villa can be used for cooling off, but one can also have a good swim in view of its longueur (15 meters). The garden furniture is very relaxed and invites you to just have a drink and linger on some more and more. The garden and lay out give a very tropical touch to the atmosphere, which is complementary to the truly stylish, well equipped, and very open living room, in which we found ourselves in want of nothing. Also air-conditioned with all modern media directly at hand.
There is a separate study available, which we gladly didn’t use as a matter of fact; a holiday should be a holiday, and that worked very well for us. In the morning, we had a choice for breakfast, being that continental oriented or local: all good choices.
The Villa is located a few steps away from a lively shopping street; lovely small shops and very good restaurants are nearby. The same goes for a fully air-conditioned shopping mall. Have a morning coffee in Café Bali just around the corner and you’ll not only feel yourself at home in the Villa, but also in the charming Seminyak.
The beautiful beaches with their five-star hotels, clubs & restaurants are within walking distance; no need to take a taxi. For the traffic to and from the airport we used the logistic service of the Villa, same as for a daytrip into the beautiful countryside, just perfect.
It was just awesome. We cannot wait to go back soon to enjoy Villa Gendang, Seminyak and Bali some more!

Villa Gendang exceeded all our expectations. A beautiful villa located in the center of Saminyak, yet an oasis of tranquility. The villa is tastefully decorated, and the bedrooms offer everything you need. There’s a lovely private pool with comfortable beds in a beautifully landscaped garden. The manager gave us a very warm welcome, with clear directions and helpful tips for Saminyak. This villa is highly recommended, located in the center of Saminyak, with many charming shops, excellent restaurants, cafes, and beach clubs just around the corner.
