Villa Maliya is the ultimate beach house for the modern age. This multilevel villa is built on the northern coast of Samui island, nestled in a serene community of luxury villas, high-end resorts and ocean views to die for. The villa also offers prime access to Samrong Bay – a petite beach which is among the most beautiful stretches of sand on the whole island. When you’re not preoccupied by fine dining and lazy walks down the beach, you can make the most of the plush comforts of the villa. Exuding fresh modern style and five-star comfort, Villa Maliya’s luminous design allows the mesmerising views to take centre stage no matter where you are in the villa. The villa’s sleek swimming pool is flanked by a lush ocean view garden – it really is hard to imagine a more idyllic setting.

Villa Maliya exemplifies modern tropical living. Every inch of the villa feels fresh and contemporary, from the light colour scheme to the polished marble floors and sleek contours of the structures themselves. The villa makes the most of its stunning hillside setting with rooms spilling over three floors, each of them framed by a terrace that looks over the turquoise ocean and the idyllic island of Koh Phangan which beckons in the distance.

Living Room

The living areas are light, fresh, modern and fully air-conditioned – a welcome feature in Samui’s tropical climate! The pale marble floors give the space an elevated modern polish while the glass doors provide jaw-dropping views of the Gulf of Thailand. The lounge area is furnished with elegant cream colour sofas dotted with plump pillows. You can either stretch out on the sofa and enjoy those mesmerising views or flip through the channels on the sleek flatscreen TV – the choice is all yours!

Dining Room

The dining area is also incorporated to the open plan living areas. The timber dining table is surrounded by elegant chairs rendered in midnight blue. After nightfall, the dining area is lit up by beautiful pendulum lamps. The dining area extends to an extravagantly spacious guest kitchen where you can prepare meals and snacks with ease. Alternatively, you can leave all the cooking to the villa staff who will work discretely in the adjoining staff kitchen.

Garden

Villa Maliya offers the best of tropical indoor/outdoor living. The villa is hugged by beautiful multitiered terraces that offer sublime views of the turquoise ocean and out to the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan. The salt water swimming pool is arguably the best place to drink in that gorgeous scenery – the pool even has a swim up bar! Beyond the pool is a lovely lawn area dotted with palm trees and lawn furniture. This is a truly idyllic place to gaze at the horizon while you swap stories with your nearest and dearest. To truly maximise the views, the two upper floors are also flanked by generous terraces where the ocean vistas seem to go on forever.

Villa Maliya features five bedrooms. The bedrooms are sprinkled across two floors and four of them feature scenic private terraces. The rooms are rendered in calm light tones with subtle pops of colour and texture adding some whimsy. All rooms are furnished with king-sized beds, though one of these can be converted into two singles if needed. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom attached.

Villa Maliya is a five-bedroom villa that’s built over three levels. The ground floor houses the living and dining areas which give out to the terrace and the pool. The middle floor houses three bedrooms. The top floor houses the two remaining bedrooms.

Your stay in Villa Maliya is made enjoyable by the professional staff. The staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Thai hospitality.

Villa Manager

Villa Maliya’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Housekeepers attend the villa daily to take care of all domestic duties.

Butlers

Butlers are on hand daily to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout the day.

Chef

The villa’s skilled private chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements.

Security

It’s nice to know you have security and many villas will have full-time guards or night time security available. Additional security can also be arranged if the villa doesn’t include any in the daily rate.

Villa Maliya is located in Plai Laem in the north-eastern tip of Samui island in Thailand. This is a serene and exclusive part of this fabled Thai island. It’s far enough removed from buzzy Chaweng to avoid the crowds but still within easy reach of top tier restaurants– the Six Senses and Ritz Carlton resorts are both within a five-minute drive from the villa. But the main event has to be the villa’s stunning setting. Villa Maliya gazes over the Gulf of Thailand and out to Koh Phangan. It also sits mere footsteps from Samrong Bay, one of the most idyllic beaches in Koh Samui – and that’s saying something on an island famed for its stunning sandy beaches! The equally beautiful Thongson Beach is also mere minutes away. The iconic Big Buddha and Bophut’s Fisherman’s Village can be reached in a short drive.
