VILLA SARASVATI

Villa Sarasvati cleverly combines traditional Balinese architecture and contemporary features in its design. Guests will delight in the local materials used in the property as well as in the contrast of textures, colors, fabrics and style in its amenities and design.

Living Room

The huge Villa Sarasvati living pavilion is a magnificent open-plan space with glass doors running the length of three walls that can be closed for air-conditioned comfort or flung open onto the pool and garden for fan-cooled tropical living.

Dining Room

This is the place for lavish entertaining – either at the huge suar-wood dining table which accommodates 14 on bench seating, in the lounge area furnished with extra deep cushioned wicker sofas, or in the adjoining open-sided garden room. Beyond the marble-topped bar counter is the open-plan guest kitchen equipped with welcome extras such as espresso machine and wine fridge. Out of sight behind closed doors is the staff kitchen.

Spa

Guests of the five Dea villas have exclusive access to Dea Spa – a beautiful light-filled joglo-style pavilion discreetly tucked away behind the gym and featuring a double massage room, sauna and outdoor treatment area with Whirlpool-style bathtub.

Spa therapies are carried out by fully trained therapists available at 30 minutes’ notice, between 7am and 10pm daily (extra charges will apply).

Garden & Pool

There’s lots of outdoor living space too at Villa Sarasvati. In addition to the large semi-alfresco seating area adjoining the living pavilion, sun loungers line the ironwood pool deck and two antique pondoks (rice field shelters) create private garden sanctuaries overlooking a giant chess board and petanque court. Villa Sarasvati is perfect for kids, and younger family members will love the shared playground complete with swings, slides, sandpit and Wendy house. (Parents can keep an eye from the shade of the balé).

Villa Sarasvati has four bedrooms. Two rooms have king-sized beds and two rooms have two single beds each – these can also be set up as kings in needed. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor and two rooms are housed on the upper floor.

Villa Sarasvati comprises a large living pavilion and a two-storey building arranged in an L shape around a 20m swimming pool looking onto rice terraces. The open-plan living pavilion has a formal seating area with doors onto a covered open-sided garden room, a dining area and, across a bar counter, the guest kitchen and second service kitchen behind. In the second pavilion, which is fronted by a covered terrace on both storeys, two ground-floor master suites flank a central ‘art-gallery’ foyer leading to the main entrance. Stairs lead up to the second level where two more guest suites and a family TV room open onto the terrace.

Villa Sarasvati is a few minutes’ drive from the spectacular Berawa beach, a very popular surfing spot in Canggu. The villa is also conveniently close to the hip district of Canggu. Seminyak is a 20 minute drive away, where the finest designer boutiques and world-class bars and restaurants are located, the most popular of which is the Ku De Ta restaurant and bar however there are so many more fantastic beachside venues competing with this bar you’ll have to try them all.
