The rooms are beautifully lit and exquisitely styled, with shell chandeliers, tropical artwork and windows looking out to the greenery adding an irresistible touch of Bali. The villa is hugged by tropical greenery on all sides and the clever use of full wall windows allows that luscious beauty to become part of the décor. Every detail has been carefully engineered to promote wellbeing and a sense of inner peace, from the cool feel of the marble floors beneath your bear feet to the subtle lighting that illuminates the villa after nightfall. Just as the name suggests – Uma Santai means “relaxed house” in Indonesian – Villa Uma Santai is a place where you’ll feel at peace.

Living Room

The living room is a beautiful space that runs the full width of the Japanese garden that occupies the centre of the property. With the living and dining areas as well as the kitchen all included in the same open plan space, the room invites socialising and relaxed mingling. There are two distinct seating areas to alternate between. One faces the generous TV mounted on the wall while the other is arranged around an elegant coffee table and framed by a vibrant painting depicting life in the jungle. The living room is fully air-conditioned though if you prefer, you can also leave the glass doors open to relish a connection with the tropical elements.

Dining Room

The villa’s long wooden dining table was made for gathering up for gourmet meals. With four long benches framing the impressive table, there is more than enough space to indulge in fine food while also savouring each other’s company. Glass doors reveal serene views of the Japanese Zen garden while you dine and the artfully sculpted rice paper lamp which illuminates the space adds yet another subtle touch of Japan. If you feel like dining alfresco, there is also a relaxed dining area positioned outside by the pool. The indoor dining area extends to a fully equipped gourmet kitchen that includes a stunning stone island counter and all the necessary crockery, cutlery and appliances.

Garden

Villa Uma Santai is blessed with exceptionally beautiful gardens that fuse luscious Balinese beauty with serene Japanese minimalism. The villa is gracefully built around a tranquil Zen sand garden complete with stepping stones and bonsai trees. This garden leads down to the pool area which embodies Bali’s lush landscape with blooming frangipani branches and sky high palm trees framing a turquoise pool. The 13-metre long pool is adjoined by a deck dotted with glamorous cabana beds that wouldn’t look a miss at the island’s hippest beach clubs. Close to the pool is another serene feature: a Japanese inspired massage sala where you can enjoy spa treatments in luxurious privacy, surrounded by the soothing sights and sounds of Balinese nature.

Villa Uma Santai features seven bedrooms. The bedrooms feature luxe materials and subtle Japanese influences. Polished marble floors, contemporary teak furniture and a subdued colour scheme provide an elegant finish. Divided over two floors, the bedrooms are generously sized and they are adjoined by an ensuite bathroom each. Five rooms feature king-sized beds and two rooms come with two single beds each.

Villa Uma Santai is a seven-bedroom villa that’s built over two floors. The ground floor houses the living and dining areas and two bedrooms. Five more bedrooms are located on the upper floor. The villa features extensive garden and deck areas and a 13 x 3 metre swimming pool.

Your stay in Villa Uma Santai is made enjoyable by the professional staff. Villa Issi’s staff have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly Balinese hospitality.

Villa Manager

Villa Uma Santai’s experienced and knowledgeable manager is responsible for the overall operation of the villa. The villa manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.

Housekeeping

Housekeepers attend the villa daily to take care of all domestic duties.

Butlers

Butlers are on hand daily to assist with serving during meal times and attend to other guest requirements throughout the day.

Villa Uma Santai is located in the neighbourhood of Pererenan in Bali, Indonesia. Pererenan is an up and coming locale positioned just up the coast from Canggu which is arguably the trendiest area on the whole island. Villa Uma Santai is nestled in a community of villas and a handful of cafes and restaurants, including Red Salt Café which you’ll find practically next door. The beach is about 10 minutes away on foot. You can walk down the beach to reach popular venues like La Brisa, Como and Old Man’s in a matter of minutes. Alternatively, you can do some restaurant hopping along Jalan Pantai Pererenan or the more mainstream Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong.
