The dining room is a glass encased space located right by the pool, allowing all 12 guests to gather up for delicious meals and dreamy poolside views. There’s another huge dining table positioned in the open plan living room. The villa’s kitchen is fitted with all the gadgets and cutlery you need – though if you prefer, you can also leave all the cooking to the villa’s skilled staff.

Villa Zeno Arete is dripping with tropical vibes. The villa gazes over a huge swimming pool complete with a large shallow part and a row of sun beds submerged into those crystal-clear waters. If you prefer to stay on dry land, there are plenty of day beds as well as a dreamy cabana positioned out on the deck. The pool is bookended by two show stopping features: an ice bath at one end (with a sauna waiting close by) and a fabulous sunken lounge at the other. And that’s not all! The villa also boasts a second glass bottomed pool positioned right above that sumptuous lounge.

You didn’t think you would be expected to clean while enjoying time off did you? All of our villas include housekeeping to tidy up the villa, arrange the laundry services, wash up and simply make sure you don’t lift a finger whilst on holiday with the family.

For even more options, Jalan Pantai Pererenan – a busy strip lined with cafes, spas, restaurants, shops, gyms, and more – is just a quick five-minute drive away. Pererenan Beach and Echo Beach are both about 10 minutes away.

We stayed at Villa Zena Arete for a full month, and it was honestly one of the warmest and most memorable places I’ve ever lived in.
The first thing that creates the atmosphere is the three cats. They’re not just “around the property” — they genuinely feel like part of the family. They add so much comfort and charm to the place.
But the biggest highlight is the people. The staff are incredibly kind, warm, and at the same time very professional. Always smiling, always ready to help. Every time you see them, you automatically smile back. That’s what truly makes the experience special.
The villa itself is absolutely beautiful — and that’s one of its biggest advantages. Almost every photo you take here looks amazing. Morning, daytime, evening — the lighting is just perfect. There’s so much greenery and space, and everything feels thoughtfully designed from a visual perspective.
The pool is large and beautifully lit at night. Once it gets dark, the whole villa transforms — lights, reflections, atmosphere. There’s also a very cool feature: inside the pool there are built-in fire elements, and if you ask the staff, they can turn the fire on. Being in the water with real flames next to you looks incredible — especially in the evening. It creates a true wow effect.
For anyone who loves sports, this place is a dream. The gym is new and very well equipped. Every time you walk past it, you feel like hitting the punching bag, lifting something, or doing a workout. Training in Bali, outdoors, at your own villa — it’s extremely energizing.
There’s also a brand-new sauna and an ice plunge (around 2–4°C) — unbelievably refreshing in the morning. And in the evening, you can relax in the warm water, talk with friends, and just enjoy the vibe.
Another big plus is the sound system. There are multiple audio setups around the villa. Separate speakers for the gym and the main gathering area by the pool — we played music there almost every evening and loved it. There’s also a Sonos system throughout the villa, so you can control music in every room from the app or choose specific zones. It feels very well thought out.
Special mention to the chef — we had many meals prepared for us, and every time the food was excellent. We even hosted a big dinner for friends in the barbecue area, and everything was perfect.
In the end, this is not just a beautiful villa. It’s a place with character, atmosphere, and soul. We truly enjoyed every moment and will remember this month for a long time.
