Yukihyo Living

The name Yukihyo means snow leopard in Japanese. The moniker is fitting on more than one level. First, there are the seemingly endless windows which frame inspiring views of the surrounding Hokkaido landscape and its exotic flora and fauna. Beyond that, the name captures the essence of the property: sleek, exotic, rare. This chalet truly feels like a work of art, from its bold structure to its gallery-like interiors and the ingeniously placed windows that flood the rooms with light and those spellbinding views.

Living Room

The living room feels like a stunning gallery that’s meant to be lived in and enjoyed to the fullest. The space is accentuated by white pillars and ceiling beams that frame full wall windows looking out to pristine Niseko landscape. The space is dominated by a beautiful fireplace that cleverly divides the living and dining areas without interrupting the open floor plan. The lounge area features a generous grey sofa, circular coffee tables and two wicker chairs that seem to mimic the textures and shades of the firewood waiting by the fireplace.

Dining Room

The chalet’s stunning fireplace is the only thing separating the living room from the dining area. The light timber dining table is positioned close to the fireside which is cleverly designed so that you can admire the fire from both sides of this open plan space. Besides the fireplace, the dining area also offers beautiful views of the surrounding nature through full wall windows. The dining area is followed by a chic, fully equipped kitchen that features a sleek island and all the gadgets and crockery you’ll need.

The location is beautiful but I recommend hiring a car which is straight forward. We normally book via Toyota who are the best in town. Simple yet comfortable furnishings, plenty of space and 10 minutes from the lifts.
