Tesco Lotus
Tesco has several outlets across Phuket with the range and quantity of products varying from store to store. The largest store, Tesco Lotus, is located just outside Phuket Town. This mall complex also includes fast food restaurants, ATMs and a Boots pharmacy. Tesco Lotus offers fresh produce, a meat section, dry goods and other kitchen staples and also has a kids’ section an offers electronics. There is also a large Tesco Lotus store in Surin.

Supercheap is one of the best loved supermarkets in Phuket and you can probably guess why based on the name! Located just outside of Phuket Town Supercheap is a huge wearhouse-like space selling just about, well, everything.
Supercheap sells everything from fresh produce to dry goods and from electronics to clothes and even furniture. Navigating the huge retail space is an activity in and of itself. There are smaller Supercheap outlets dotted across Phuket.

Villa Market prides itself for being “Thailand’s Original International Supermarket.” The upscale store sells both local and imported goods and definitely caters more to the international crowd.
Villa Market Phuket is located in Chalong. The supermarket offers a wide selection of brands you’ll recognise from back home, including Nutella, Weetabix, Marmite and more. Villa Market also has a decent selection on wines and offers fresh fruit and vegetables.
Though pricier than other supermarkets in Phuket, Villa Market is a great choice for those days when you find yourself craving for some familiar flavours from back home.

Big C
Big C is one of the most well-known supermarkets in Phuket. The generous supermarket is conveniently located at the Jungceylon mall in the main tourism hub of Patong. There is another location close to Central Festival Phuket.
Big C is a well-stocked supermarket which also features a great prepared foods counter where you can easily pick up a meal to go. As a part of one of the biggest malls in Phuket, the Big C at Jungceylon is a real one-stop destination with the supermarket, cinema and plenty of restaurants all located under the same roof.

Makro
Makro is a supermarket-slash-wholesale-supplier that’s very popular with local restaurants and long-time Phuket expats.
Some people are confused by Makro’s status as a wholesale supplier, but in reality shopping here is no different than visiting other supermarkets in Phuket. You can pick up all your normal grocery items same as anywhere else, although Makro sells few products if any in single packets.
Ok, there is one difference between Makro and other supermakerts in Phuket. Upon entering the store, customers are issued a visitor pass which you present at the cashier when paying. The whole process is very simple and only takes a moment.
Makro is a great place for picking up coffee, produce, dry goods and other groceries in larger quantities. There is a Makro close to Central Festival and another one in Patong.
