A pool a day keeps the doctor away! Oh, that’s not how the saying goes? Could have fooled us, as the divine pools in Bali seem to work wonders in lifting our spirits even on the most Monday-est of Mondays. Grab your iPhone and forget the filters – these stunning pools in Bali are ready for their Instagram closeup.

1. OMNIA Bali

OMNIA Bali’s artful cube looks like an alien ship landing right on Bali and really, there is something almost otherworldly about this place. This slicker than slick clifftop day club has fast garnered something of a cult status in Bali and photos of the venue’s uniquely designed pool and sun deck have flooded our Instagram feeds. OMNIA Bali is by no means the cheapest day out you’ll have in Bali – and you might have to get in line if you want to get photographed on the bridge.

2. Mrs Sippy

To get the money shot at Mrs Sippy, you need to be OK with heights – and getting wet. Mrs Sippy claims to have the largest salt water pool on the island, but the real draw is the jump tower. Climb up to the triple-jump tower, hand your phone to your bestie and get ready for the holiday snap of a lifetime. Back flip skills essential.

Location: Jl. Taman Ganesha, Gang Gagak 8, Seminyak

3. Cabina

We have two words for you: Floating. Breakfast. The pastel hued Cabina pool club has struck Instagram gold with their floating brunch. This popular package is just what the name suggests: hip breakfast grub served on a floating platter in the venue’s blue tiled pool. If you can tear your eyes away from the pool, Cabina’s powder pink walls and hipster chic cacti are also worthy of a snap or two.

Location: Jalan Gang Daksina No 01, Batubelig

4. AYANA Resort

Just around the river bend… We’ll take any excuse to hum along to our favourite Disney tunes and floating in AYANA’s gorgeous River Pool is definitely the best spot for channeling your inner Pocahontas. Beyond the River Pool, AYANA is no stranger to Instagram fame – this fabulous resort is also home the iconic Rock Bar and the jaw-dropping Ocean Beach Pool.

5. La Brisa

La Brisa has been the backdrop of many a photoshoot, both professional and less so, and no wonder – this beachfront pool club in trendy Canggu is drop dead gorgeous. La Brisa is styled with dreamy bohemian flair, with a lagoon pool shaded by palm trees and lined with rustic poolside cabanas. An almost surreally beautiful place to see and be seen in.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle… a fantastical no beach, beach club awaits! Jungle Fish might be miles away from the nearest beach, but this funky pool club is definitely not short on tropical appeal. Jungle Fish’s oft photographed infinity pool overlooks the untamed jungle and offers a great place to get lost for the day. Pro tip: Jungle Fish is a great option if you’re not looking to check into a five-star resort but still want to indulge in a fabulous pool.

Not for the faint of heart, the Oneeighty pool club is home to what is arguably the most unique pool in Bali. Located at The Edge villa resort and perched on the edge of a dramatic cliff, the glass-bottomed pool offers spectacular views as far as the eye can see – including those beneath your feet.

Location: Jalan Pura Goa Lempeh, Uluwatu

8. Folk Ubud

Proving that hip pool clubs are not just for Seminyak and Canggu, Folk Ubud offers a taste of modern bohemia in the heart of Ubud. The setup is just what you’d expect from Bali’s unofficial hippy capital: a freeform lagoon pool lined with dreamy daybeds. As night falls, the venue is beautifully lit up by fairy lights.

Location: Jalan Monkey Forest, Ubud

9. The Lawn

The Lawn’s pool is not pretty as a picture just on our standards – even Vogue has recognized the dreamy qualities of this Canggu watering hole. Though the pool at The Lawn is pretty (they also have a cute swim up bar), what really makes the venue stand out are the Balinese parasols, fairy lights and most importantly, the epic sunset views overlooking the surf breaks.

10. Loop Pool

Loop Pool remains something of a hidden gem, though it’s located practically in the heart of trendier than trendy Canggu. It’s hard to choose which side of Loop you want to photogram first. The pool itself has a very photogenic infinity edge overlooking the jungle ravine and the river below – but the views has some tough competition in the restaurant’s boho chic bamboo architecture.

11. El Kabron

El Kabron’s dreamy blue pool is built over the majestic cliffs of Uluwatu in the southern tip of Bali. This ritzy pool club serves sophisticated Spanish fare and while definitely not cheap (if you want to be seated by the pool, a minimum charge applies), it’s the perfect place to park yourself by the pool and strike a pose with a glass of bubbly in hand.
