We’re checking into a one-bedroom villa and right on arrival we’re pleasantly surprised by the well-sized pool. The thatched roofs and blooming frangipani trees give the villa a distinct Balinese feel, though the interiors are fresh and contemporary.
The villa offers all the essentials for a carefree stay in tropics, with an open-plan pavilion incorporating the living and dining areas and compact kitchen into one fluid space. The adjoining bedroom is white and airy with a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom fitted with a bathtub and shower. The simple styling means there’s nothing to distract you from that beautiful blue pool and all the excitement waiting just beyond the villa walls. One of the undeniable highlights of our stay was the food! Each villa comes with a room service menu covering both Indonesian dishes and Western favourites, from beef rendang to organic vegetable penne and all the way to Bedugul strawberry tart. The dinner we ordered was delicious and far exceeded our expectations. And this really is saying something when you’re staying in Seminyak with many of Bali’s best restaurants waiting practically on your doorstep!
As the old adage goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and at Bvilla Spa, we were well set up for the day. The staff arrived right on time to prepare our first meal of the day in the privacy of our villa, whipping up a beautiful spread of omelettes, fresh tropical fruit, juice and coffee.
That you are surrounded by the endless dining options of Seminyak is evident, as the villa doesn’t have extensive cooking utensils and cutlery. All the basics are covered – but this is definitely a villa where you either dine out or order in rather than cooking elaborate meals.
