Christmas Day
Bali has a myriad of great restaurants offering Christmas lunches. Choose from a buffet, set menu or fine dining with live music to cater for the whole family.
For those who prefer a more intimate setting, you can always prepare your own Christmas feast in the privacy of your own villa. Head to Carrefour or Bali Deli to stock up on various ingredients and recreate your home made recipes. You can even request your villa chef to prepare a Christmas lunch especially for you!
Scratch restaurant in Seminyak is hosting Rudolph’s Red Nose dinner. Enjoy a set menu including a tapas, Christmas pie, pavlova and yes to top it all off Let’s get you a refreshing cranberry mint mimosa to get this party started. Finns Beach Club in Uluwatu has a fantastic lunch buffet with Dj between 12pm – 3pm on Christmas Day. Adults USD $61 ++ for Buffet or $90++ for the Buffet and free flowing drinks, children are $35 ++. You’ll have access to the private beach club and Santa gifts for all that book.
The Deck Seminyak is hosting a Christmas menu available Christmas day 12pm – 11pm. Enjoy a 3 course menu with turkey, roast beef, Christmas pudding and a glass of wine for each course. Adults Rp 450,000 ($45) and children Rp 225,000 ($25).
The SOS Supper Club on Christmas Eve is hosting a special six-course set dinner menu Rp 495,000 pp ($46) and wine degustation set menu Rp 795,000 pp ($74).
Wild Orchid Restaurant invites you to treat your family and friends with a delectable Christmas brunch Rp 495,000 pp ($46) and dinner Rp 395,000 pp ($37) with live music and dance performances as your company.
The Pan Pacific Nirvana Bali Resort invites you to celebrate Christmas in their elegant signature restaurants – Merica and Pool Grill. They are offering a lavish selection of Christmas buffet treats to embrace the joy of Christmas with friends and family. New Year’s Eve
Kuta has the biggest nightclubs, great for anyone who wants to party all night. Good music, drinks and fireworks – all contribute to keep the party going into the early hours of the morning.
Seminyak restaurants and cafés host upscale parties for you to enjoy a lavish dinner and great cocktails. Some of the famous beachside venues to consider are Ku De Ta, Potato Head Beach Club, W Resort and Cocoon.
For a more relaxed New Year’s Eve, head to the quieter villages of Sanur or Ubud. The upscale resorts and private villas have their own entertainment events for NYE exclusively for their guests.
The roads in Seminyak, Kuta and Legian are congested and traffic comes to a standstill on NYE. So, it is advisable to find a place that’s within walking distance from your villa. Don’t even think about party-hopping from Seminyak to Kuta – you’ll end up counting down the final seconds of 2013 in a taxi!
