How to Get There

Beaches
Beloved by surfers, Canggu offers long beaches with volcanic black sand and stunning sunset views. The most popular beaches include Berawa, Batu Bolong and of course, the famous Echo Beach. These beaches are easily accessible and lined with beach bars and restaurants selling cold drinks and full meals once you start feeling hungry.
Restaurants
Speaking of food – Canggu is fast becoming a real foodie destination. The area is dotted with cute coffee shops and health food restaurants offering a very Instagram friendly setting for dining. There are also plenty of family-friendly options – a few Canggu restaurants even offer “kids eat for free” promotions! Markets
Canggu is home to some of the best weekend markets in Bali. If you’re doing a weekend day trip to Canggu, visiting at least one of them is an absolute must. The biggest and most well known market is Canggu Market, which takes place at Old Man’s beachfront restaurant on the last Saturday of every month. Samadi Bali yoga studio and Love Anchor both host a weekly Sunday market.
Beach Clubs & Pool Bars
After a day exploring the neighbourhood, it’s time to settle down with a cold drink and take in the views. Canggu offers some great beach clubs for doing just that, including Finns Beach Club, Arboon Beach Bar and the newly opened La Brisa Bali. The beachfront swimming pool at The Lawn was recently named one of the dreamiest pools in Bali by Vogue. If you prefer jungle views, you can also try Loop Pool & Bar or head to Panama Kitchen & Pool to enjoy Santorini vibes right here in Bali.
Tanah Lot
While not precisely located in Canggu, you could easily include a visit to the stunning Tanah Lot temple into your Canggu day trip. Tanah Lot is one of the most photogenic spots in Bali, with the majestic temple appearing to rise form the salty waves of the ocean. Tanah Lot is extremely popular during sunset, so make sure to get here early. The temple is located about 30 minutes from Canggu.
