Hidden in a pocket just 10 minute on foot from the Seminyak beach in Bali you will find one of our new favourites. Niconico Mansion our six bedroom villa is a piece of art; from the moment you walk in the door, every inch of the villa has been well thought out and the outcome is a true master piece.
Staying here for the weekend
The main entrance has scattered frames with gorgeous chandeliers. It’s where I was greeted by the lovely villa manager Mellisa. She was our host for the stay and took us on the grand tour of the villa to choose our bedroom and explained about the property and the services during our stay. She is always on hand to assist with any questions.
The main living area has super high ceilings with so much space for a large group to relax. Interesting works of art line the walls. The kitchen bench is quite creative with a saddle, swing and bicycle seat.
Over to one side the living room is a ping pong table, over to the other is the grand glass dining table. The leather lounge can seat 12 guests. Upstairs has a pool table and open-air in the design to let the air flow through.
Look up and you’ll see a net that you can actually sit on! It can carry a tone of weight so seriously a very cool place to hang out with a few friends. There is something to keep everyone entertained here.
Take a dip in sunny Bali
To truly get a feel of the tropics, the villa offers guests a spacious private pool set amidst a luscious garden. The clear waters are the perfect refuge from the midday sun and will delight guests both young and old. It was raining when we stayed so I preferred to stretch out inside and watch the rain though the glass panels but still very tempting.

Each of the 6 bedrooms are much of the same size and have an individual theme which is quite unique. Each with an en-suite bathroom. Every time I went into another room I discovered something new. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs.

On Ministry of Villas, silly! Okay, it’s in Petitenget, Seminyak. Right at your doorstep lies a plethora of dining options including the acclaimed Merah Putih. If you’re looking for something local take a stroll down and you’ll come across Warung Eropa or Warung Sulawesi that serve affordable (and extremely tasty) local delights. Unleash the party animal in you a few doors down at W, Potato Head or at Mirrors before crossing the road and wandering back, down the little lane to your very own home-art museum: the one and only in Bali, Niconico Mansion.
