Everyone always asks me “where do I stay with a large group without breaking the bank” and after staying at Villa Massilia myself I think this villa complex is the perfect villa! There are 3 villas – Villa Massilia 1,2,3 made up of 2 x three bedroom villas and 1 x four bedroom villa that can be combined to create a 10 bedroom villa.

What a Location

Located in Seminyak, Bali close to the beach and the well known Eat Street, it’s in a prime location. I love Seminyak as there are endless boutiques, spas and restaurants that line the street. You really are spoilt for options here. It’s great to be able to walk around the corner and enjoy a massage at a spa for under $10.

Breakfast at Villa Massilia

The villa comes with breakfast daily which is made up of fresh fruit, toast, eggs any style, juice, tea & coffee. I have to say this was one of the best omelettes I had while in Bali this trip.

Villa Massilia 3

This is the 3 bedroom at the back of the Villa Massilia complex. The villa doesn’t interconnect with Villa 1 or 2 so it offers privacy away from the group if you need it.

The Chef Can Cook

Both Alastair and I were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food served at Villa Massilia. Not only were the Indonesian dishes created by the chef amazing, but the presentation was so beautiful. Banana leaves were made into little bowls to serve our dishes in. It was really special.

The villa’s skilled chef will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s suggestion menus, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements if you or the group have dietary requirements.

After a pretty big feed it was off to bed. We watched TV and chilled out in the air-conditioning in the bedroom. Each bedroom comes with an semi outdoor Balinese bathroom. The staff come at around dusk to spray, keeping the mozzies away.

10 bedroom Option

If you are looking for a 10 bedroom villa in Seminyak, well there are none. All 10 bedroom villas are made up of one to two villas like Villa Massilia. Whichever size villa you choose, you can’t go wrong. Or book them together for a large entourage. Hang out by the pools on the comfy sun-beds that surround the swimming pools, with umbrellas for a little relief from the sun. Enjoy the large open plan living and dining areas, that feature comfortable furnishings with a touch of Balinese flair and are the focus of each villa. Every villa is completely private and surrounded by stunning tropical gardens, with friendly staff just adding to the unbeatable location and cool décor.

Walking distance to Seminyak Beach

Just a short walk away from Seminyak Beach and Ku De Ta, the villas are in the perfect location for getting away from it all and enjoying everything that Bali has to offer at the same time. We walked down to Ku De Ta for an afternoon cocktail, the perfect way to end a day.

Good Things Must Come to an End

I keep coming back to Seminyak as it offers so much to do and see. For someone like me who can’t sit still there is always something on offer in Seminyak. I would have been quite happy to stay another day or two at Villa Massilia but sadly we had to say goodbye and head off to our next villa.
