When some of our Ministry of Villas team flew into Bali last month we inspected over 100 villas in one week. We were lucky enough to stay at some of the most beautiful villas in Bali. One magical villa that we tried out for the night was Villa Omah Padi. This five bedroom villa is hidden away in the rice fields of Ubud. The villa can sleep 10 guests and extra beds can be arranged at an additional cost.

The view from the back of the villa is just stunning. With so much land being developed these days it’s wonderful to be able to look out and have no neighbours and just see the emerald green paddies Bali is famous for.

We arrived early one afternoon and set up shop with all computers out. It’s wonderful being on the road inspecting the villas however we also have to fit in actual work! The internet is actually pretty fast (for Bali) so that’s a massive plus if you can’t escape work whilst on holidays.

We spent the afternoon on the large dining table typing away. With only the rice paddies surrounding you, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. In actual fact the villa is just a short 10 minute drive from the center of Ubud and the well-known Monkey Forest.

Relax in Ubud at Villa Omah Padi

Late in the afternoon as the sun starts to set and the sky is turning all different colours. It was time to sit back and enjoy Villa Omah Padi and take a dip in the pool.

The villa is professionally managed and the staff (only 2 present) were wonderful. They arranged a great dinner for us and a bottle of wine. We paid for take away however if you would like a chef to cook for you in the villa this can also be easily arranged.

The villa can also be rented as a 2, 3 and 4 bedroom option so keep this in mind if you don’t have 10 friends to stay with. Prices for Villa Omah Padi start from USD 295 for the two bedroom option per night and for 5 bedrooms is USD 495 per night in the low season.

Nothing was too much for the team from Omah Padi. We would certainly recommend the villa to families or a large group coming to Bali and wanting to get away and experience the real Bali in style.

we are travelling in Late Feb early march with our 8 year old son. Is the 2nd Bedroom close by the main bedroom as this is a bit of an issue for us with some Villas. The setting looks amazing!!

The master bedroom is upstairs and directly underneath there is a bedroom and one next door to this. Then on the other side; directly opposite is two more rooms.

The villa is stunning and the setting is exactly what you expect from a Balinese Villa. Highly recommend it if you can make it work.
