Buckle up for the ride of a lifetime! With snow drifting, you speed your car on a snowy and icy surface, intentionally setting the car drifting… and your adrenaline racing. This unforgettable experience is perfect for all thrill seekers and motorsport enthusiasts. Hop in the driver’s seat and choose between three courses designed for different preferences and experience levels. Available vehicles include Subaru Impreza, Subaru Legacy, Mercedes-Benz E-class, and Porsche Boxster.

This has always been our favourite way to explore Japan. Renting our own vehicle has allowed us to discover frozen lakes, out-of-the-way onsens, and hidden gem restaurants we would have never discovered otherwise. With your own premium vehicle, Hokkaido truly becomes your oyster.

Cat Skiing

Forget about queues and crowds – how would you like to ski your very own private mountain? With cat skiing, you can access fresh tracks with ease (no hiking up the hill required) and shred pristine pow to your heart’s content. Expert guides will take you to the best spots and with groups limited to just 12 people a day, you never have to worry about crowds or trodden snow. On average, guests ski over 3,000 vertical metres of pow per day, depending on the location, weather, and experience level.

Perfect for experienced motorbike riders, this unique adventure sport lets you rev through the backcountry on a 450cc snowbike. The tours are led by expert guides who will lead you through challenging terrain where the elevation ranges between 500-1,300 metres. With over 100 km² to explore, even die-hard adrenaline junkies are bound to leave satisfied. Experienced motorcyclists’ skills are directly transferable to riding a snowbike after about 15-30 minutes of practice. If you love motocross or enduro, this thrilling sport will be a perfect fit.

Heed the call of adventure and head out into the wilderness. Snowmobiling lets you experience Niseko’s stunning scenery to the fullest while also offering a dose of adrenaline. The tours are led by experienced guides and the 600cc snowmobiles are easy to ride, offering the perfect mix of accessibility and adventure. You will ride through forests and pastures, with majestic mountains adding a stunning backdrop. Those aged over 20 can ride solo while kids aged 7-20 can ride tandem with their parents, making this a great activity for the whole family.

Ice Fishing

Enjoy a picnic on a frozen lake… and catch some huge rainbow trout while you’re at it! Ice fishing allows you to spend some quality time outdoors, with the frozen lake providing a truly unique backdrop. Expert fishing guides will show you how to drill a hole in the ice and set up tents where you can warm up when needed. Spending a day at the lake is a great way to connect with nature – and each other.

One of the most unforgettable experiences you can have in Japan is a soothing soak in an authentic onsen bath. These natural hot springs are known for their healing properties and enjoying the warm waters amid the snow and ice feels magical. Forest Experience

Leave the world behind and escape to winter wonderland. The Hokkaido forests are incredibly scenic and tranquil, so set off on snowshoes and enjoy a picnic set up in the snow. Your snowy feast will include hot drinks and roasted marshmallows, followed by a thrilling snowmobile ride through the forest. This excursion perfectly showcases the two sides that make Hokkaido so appealing: peaceful nature meets thrilling adventure.

Don’t miss one of the most unique attractions in Japan! Located less than two hours from Hakuba, Jigokudani Yaen-Koen (or Snow Monkey Park as it’s commonly known) is said to be the only place in the world where you can see monkeys bathing in hot springs. Just like us humans, these wild Japanese macaques enjoy relaxing in those warm healing waters amid the cold winter air. Witnessing a whole troop of monkeys enjoying the steaming waters amid the snow is a mesmerising experience.
