Layang means kite in Indonesian and indeed, the villa’s artistically angled roof does call to mind the shape of the colourful kites ubiquitous throughout Indonesia. The calm interiors and comfortable furnishings offer the perfect backdrop for enjoying the villa’s ambitious design and enviable views to the absolute fullest.

Living Room

The living room benefits from some truly inspired design choices: a high loft ceiling and one full wall left completely open, fluidly connecting the space to the pool and those jaw-dropping views stretching out beyond. The lounge area is dominated by a cloud like sofa in a serene shade of white, with matching chairs offering space for an even bigger group.

Dining Room

Choose your adventure: Do you prefer to dine inside in that lofty fan-cooled living room or outside by the pool? Both venues offer a long dining table big enough to seat the whole group, with sweeping sea views accompanying your every meal. The indoor dining area is framed by an immaculate modern kitchen complete with a sleek breakfast bar – the perfect spot for fuelling up before heading out to catch some waves at first light.

Media Room

When you simply want to chill out and decompress, head downstairs to the media room. Here, you can plop down on the cushy sofa and enjoy your favourite movies playing on the big screen.

Garden & Pool

At Villa Layang, the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces get deliciously blurred. Whether you’re relaxing on the living room sofa or lingering at the dining table, it only takes a few easy steps to reach the villa’s sleek stunner of a pool. The pool deck opens to the most gorgeous tropical views, with the expanse of the Indian Ocean stretching out to infinity. The pool has a shallow section where the kids can splash and play while the grown-ups catch some rays on the surrounding loungers or chill out in the sumptuous sunken lounge.

Villa Layang features four bedrooms. The bedrooms are all located on the lower ground floor, and they share the same calming design. The rooms feature king-sized beds, ensuite bathrooms, and full wall windows offering sweeping tropical views.

Villa Layang is a private, standalone villa located at the Tampah Hills villa resort. The villa spans two floors and features four bedrooms. The ground floor houses the living and dining areas and the villa’s infinity pool. The lower ground floor houses all four bedrooms and a TV room.

Housekeeping
