One level above this shimmering stunner, a rooftop terrace offers a dreamy setting for sunset gazing. As if the property needed any more wow factor, a treelined stairwell leads up to a second swimming pool which takes pride of place at the highest point of the villa. Designed by architect Alejandro Borrego, Villa Solah was inspired by the modern homes of the Mediterranean. Facing south, the villa provides amazing views of the ocean bay – especially from the two swimming pools and the decadent bathtubs perched on scenic balconies. The villa’s design and furnishings are sleek, modern and minimalist, with subtle bohemian touches and natural materials giving gentle nods to the relaxed lifestyle of the tropics. The use of hollow concrete blocks invites a fresh breeze while also creating a unique play of light as the sun travels across the sky.

Living Room

Surrounded by sliding doors on three sides, the living room offers a delicious choice between indoor/outdoor living. Leave the doors open to enjoy alfresco living by the pool or close them entirely to escape the tropical elements for a change. The spacious room features modern furniture beautifully paired with bohemian touches, including a large woven carpet and floor cushions surrounding a low-slung coffee table. With two large sofas and ample chairs, there is more than enough room for the whole group to relax and socialise, all the while enjoying views of the pool and ocean.

Dining Room

The dining room gazes over the pool and out to the ocean through sliding glass doors, allowing guests to dine while marvelling at the stunning scenery. If you prefer, the doors can also be left open to enjoy a fresh tropical breeze while you dine. The dining table is a beautiful timber number surrounded by chairs and a generous bench, offering ample space for up to 10 guests. The dining area is adjoined by a modern open plan kitchen featuring a beautifully designed island counter, gas hob and all the appliances needed for preparing delicious meals.

Garden

Villa Solah is built on a stunning hillside plot where the modern contours of the villa are beautifully juxtaposed by the untamed beauty of the lush tropical landscape. The most striking feature is undoubtably the main swimming pool which is built in a sleek L shape and features a shallow section for younger swimmers (or a chillout area for the grownups). This pool is surrounded by a generous deck dotted with sun beds and parasols. A tree sprouting from the terrace is a beautiful design element and also provides shade throughout the day. If you really want to drink in the beautiful scenery, make your way up to the rooftop terrace and grab a seat on the dreamy daybed. Though this setup provides more than enough wow factor, Villa Solah still has one ace hidden up its sleeve. Follow a stairway up to discover a second swimming pool and an adjoining deck elevated at the highest point of the property, offering sweeping panoramas of the island and out to the infinite blue ocean.

Villa Solah is a four-bedroom villa. The bedrooms are decorated in modern minimalist style with well-chosen art and statuettes giving subtle nods to the local culture. All rooms are framed by generous windows, providing natural light and beautiful views. All four rooms feature king-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms. Two rooms are located on the top floor and two rooms are housed on the lower floor, close to the living and dining areas.

From the lower floor, stairs lead up to the second swimming pool and its adjoining deck. The villa’s upper floor houses two more bedrooms which are connected through an extensive rooftop terrace.
