1. Beachberm 707
Beachberm 707 is one of the most popular beach bars in the area and a favourite hang-out of Bali expats and longterm holiday-makers. Every day at sunset this beachfront venue turns into the trendy seaside lounge, with hundreds of people sitting around the tables or laying on the grass, sipping cold beers and classic cocktails accompanied by the chilled-out tunes mixed by a resident DJ. Since this is the only Batubelig beachfront bar, the place usually gets packed with people long before sunset. If you want to get a first-row seat, we recommended arriving at least two hours before sunset.
2. Bow Bali
Wine and lounge bar Bow Bali is a popular French restaurant serving European and Caribbean fare. Friendly atmosphere and impeccable service along with the attractive tapas menu have made the venue a popular evening escape of Bali expats and tourists. Providing a great selection of board games – backgammons, chess, dices and round-billiard – this two-storey establishment will keep you entertained even if you are travelling alone.
3. Hog Wild in Bali
Serving unbelievably delicious martinis and mouth-watering appetisers, Hog Wild in Bali is an American-style bar and restaurants, where you can literally go wild. Watch or participate if you like in the “shake dance” performed by the friendly staff and relish in the vibrant atmosphere. The best thing about Hog Wild in Bali, though, is that once you start feeling peckish, the venue will definitely satisfy your taste buds with their signature beef ribs, mouth-watering crispy duck and delicious tuna steaks.
4. La Laguna
La Laguna is a spacious seaside venue, set amongst colourful gypsy caravans and Moroccan cushions that have made the restaurant super popular with Instagrammers. Providing a unique decor and an impressive tapas and drink menus, this sophisticated restaurant has fast become a very popular lounge bar. Its strategic location overlooking the Indian Ocean makes the establishment a favourite spot among travellers and expats to watch the sunset while sipping tropical cocktails and socialising. When planning a visit to La Laguna, take into account that a minimum order of IDR 150,000 per person applies.
