So You Have 7 Days in Seminyak

We love Seminyak and if it’s your first time here you want to make sure you get the most out of your 7 days in Seminyak. So I want to share my picks on what to do if you have a week in the hot location Seminyak, Bali.

You have just checked into your Seminyak villa you booked through Ministry of Villas and you don’t want to leave the pool. We understand completely. Why would you when you have a butler and chef looking after you? Well chill out, why not you have deserved it.

Day 1. Do get out of the villa for sunset drinks! We recommend checking out one of our favourite Seminyak beach bars; Ku De Ta, Potato Head or Moziac beach bar which offers the best laid back atmosphere to enjoy a sundowner.

Day 2. Bali is famous for the spas so you have to try a Balinese massage. Prices start from $4 for 1 hour and don’t forget to tip the masseuse. You can also enjoy a range of other spa services where you can try natural remedies, manicures, pedicures, hot stone treatments and the list goes on. Walk around Seminyak and every second shop is a spa!

Day 3. Eat! Seminyak has some amazing restaurants and cafe’s creating fantastic International and local Indonesian dishes. Try Straw Hut for something simple, Zucchini Cafe for healthy salads, Sea Circus for fresh juices, Vin for incredible wine, La Lucciola for creative meals, Warung Made for Balinese treats and MamaSan for the best dumplings in town.

Day 4. Shop til you drop. Seminyak has great boutiques with some fantastic designers creating one off pieces. Bali is very well known for silver and most silver shops offer a discount for bulk purchases.

Day 5. Get lost. It wasn’t until I lived here that I started to explore Seminyak. There are so many lanes off the main streets that create a maze where you can wander around and find little stalls, hidden restaurants, shops and villas. It’s really interesting to get off the main Seminyak streets.

Day 6. The Seminyak beach attracts people from all over the world. Whether it be to try their hand at surfing, laying on a sun bed, playing a game of soccer with the locals, having a cheap massage or just a drink at the local beachside warung. The Seminyak beach is a must visit anytime of day.

Day 7. Hire a scooter. Just make sure you have an International licence and wear a helmet! We only recommend this for experienced riders. For newbies it might look like fun and you will be tempted but riding in Bali can be dangerous. For those who are confident on the road this is the best way to explore Seminyak and a faster way to get around.
