We arrived and were warmly welcomed by the entire team of villa staff eager to guide us to our individual bedrooms. One of the hallmarks of Villa Jewel is its luxurious bedrooms, each boasting an ensuite bathroom. Whether traveling as a family or with friends, these lavishly appointed rooms will provide the group with the perfect sanctuary to rest and recharge after a day of exploration or simply lounging by the pool. There’s nothing worst then feeling like you’re living on top of each other when you’re trying to relax!
Subline Service and Attention to Detail – 10/10
It’s not just the sumptuous interiors that make Villa Jewel a standout destination; it’s the attention to detail and personalised service that truly sets it apart. A dedicated team of staff, including a butler and an in-house chef with years of experience, were on hand to ensure that every moment of our stay was nothing short of perfection.
On our first night we dined at dusk with our chef preparing a range of local Indonesian dishes include springs rolls with sweet chilli sauce, Kare Ayam – a coconut cream chicken and vegetable curry as well as nasi goreng. At first we thought there was too much food we couldn’t possibly finish but we were soon proved wrong as not a single crumb was left on our plates. We have had our fair share of meals prepared for us (we pride ourselves on making sure all our villas are Ministry Approved) and thus dinner scored a perfect 10!
As dinner was a hit for all, we found ourselves lounging around the dining area and chatting for hours before retreating to the cosy lounge space for a night cap.
The following morning we found breakfast to be just as perfect in terms of service, taste and the gorgeous garden setting. Imagine waking up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sound of gentle breezes rustling through lush jungle. Your butler stands ready to cater to your every need, while the chef prepares a mouthwatering breakfast spread to kick-start your day. That was our experience at Villa Jewel. We indulged on Acai bowls with homemade muesli as well as smoked salmon and eggs – personally I don’t think there is a dish their chef couldn’t do to perfection!
Throughout your stay ensure you treat yourself, as we did, to the divine cuisine. Whether you prefer traditional Balinese delicacies or international fare, the in-house chef will tantalise your taste buds with a culinary journey that reflects the rich tapestry of flavours found in Bali.
In-House Service Offering – Spa Treatments, Yoga, Meditation and More…
While we didn’t get to try all of the in-house offerings, I am sure the service mirrors what we had experienced elsewhere. You may choose to lounge by the pool or practice yoga or simply meditate. We perused the spa menu and it looked divine, so our recommendation would be to indulge in a pampering spa treatment, where skilled therapists will melt away your cares with their expert touch. We found during our stay that nothing was ever too much to ask for.

While Villa Jewel offers a secluded retreat from the hustle and bustle, it doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice proximity to the action. Pererenan, Canggu and Mengwi all boast their own vibrant dining scene, world-class surf breaks, and eclectic shops, and the best part – it’s just a short drive away, about 15-minutes to be exact.
