Nusa Dua is one of the most popular Bali destination for families and it’s easy to see why. This nook of southern Bali is home to luxury resorts with plenty of activities for the whole family. And it doesn’t exactly hurt that the beaches around here have pure white sands and a gentle swell that’s very child-friendly.

Below you’ll find our picks for fun things to do in Nusa Dua with the kids that take you beyond the resort walls. We’ve also included a few family friendly restaurants and our favourite family villas in Nusa Dua.

Things to Do in Nusa Dua with Kids

All of the five-star resorts in Nusa Dua have kids’ clubs with plenty of activities available throughout the day. This is very handy for parents looking for a little time on their own. But since this is a family holiday, you’re probably looking for things to do together with the kids, right? Here are some of our favourite activities for actually hanging out together as a family in Nusa Dua.

Water Blow

Water Blow delivers just what the name suggests – huge gushes of sea water spurting dozens of meters into the air. There’s a designated viewing point where you can take in the majestic waves. Since this is a purely natural phenomenon, just how dramatic the surges are going to be depends on the day.

You can walk to Water Blow from any of the neighbouring resorts. If you’re travelling with young kids and feel iffy about getting too close, you also get great views of this natural spectacle from afar. Prepare to get wet – and maybe keep your iPhone in your pocket.

Westin Kids Spa

What’s a trip to Bali without a trip to one of the island’s famous spas? Westin Resort is home to one of the only kids’ spas in Bali, meaning little travellers get to be pampered as well.

Little princes and princesses are treated to mini facials and Twinkle Toes & Fancy Fingers Mani-pedis – or you can enjoy a Mommy and Me massage right on the beach! Fun beauty treatments like hair braiding, nail art and temporary tattoos are also available. All treatments are done using child-friendly products.

Day Pass to Club Med Bali

There are plenty of Bali resorts that offer day passes to the pool, but true to their all-inclusive ethos, Club Med offers a little something extra. Club Med’s day passes allow outside guests to not only swim in the pools, but also have lunch and drinks at the resort and take part in selected sports like yoga and tennis. The daredevils in the family are bound to love the trapeze!

To avoid disappointment, remember to book your day pass to Club Med Bali at least 24 hours in advance. The reception will ask for a copy of your ID upon arrival. As prices vary depending on the time of day and day of the week you visit, we recommend checking the applicable charge directly with the resort.

There’s also seating available firmly on the ground. Either way, your kids will have a blast exploring this sandy playground, which also includes lazy hammocks and pirate themed memorabilia.

The menu is a mix of local and international cuisine and there’s also a kids’ menu. Pirates Bay regularly hosts live music, which makes this beachfront venue very atmospheric after sunset.
