Canggu’s answer to market shopping all in one cosy space. Open daily hosting over 100 vendors with the full market available on Saturday and Sunday’s – you will find rattan bags, jewellery, arts and crafts as well as one-off clothing pieces. Bartering here is encouraged and vendors always welcome customers with a smile.
Canggu Taxi Stand
If you are not scooting around on a motorbike, and haven’t arranged a driver for the day, and are in need of a taxi – look out for the local Canggu taxi stands. This stand is just after the intersection on Batu Bolong and located across from Love Anchor Bazaar Markets. Prices to Seminyak are approximately IDR 150,000 for a private car one-way transfer.

One of the Canggu OG’s that has been around since tourists and expats alike started discovering this surfing hipster hood. Serving up fresh salads and nourishing meals at competitive prices – we love their Mexican food and kiddies corner that comes in under IDR 70,000 for a meal.

Unisex clothing in a funky beach store setting, selling original swimwear pieces, gift wear and accessories. They have the traditional barefoot luxuries like anklets, beaded jewellery and surf style backpacks. Bikini’s start from IDR 375,000 and bracelets vary in price between IDR 80,000 – IDR 150,000.
Just as the name states, they are known for their Goldust 24K GOLD Facial that is supposed to deep cleanse your pores, tighten and smooth your skin, as well as stimulate circulation to slow down collagen depletion and thus reduce to impacts of sun damage. They are a day spa and thus also offer massages, manicure and pedicures, scrubs, nourishing hair spas and waxing.

If you want to be close to the shopping boutiques, delectable restaurants and vibrant atmosphere of Jalan Batu Bolong we suggest checking out Villa Canggu, Arnalaya Beach House or Mary’s Beach Villa which are all just a short walk away.
Step inside Billy Ho and you will see the stunning interior design and tattoo-inspired feature wall that makes this one of the most authentic restaurants in Bali. Lead by Chef Will Meyrick, one of the most well-respected maestros of the South-East Asian food scene. His menu is inspired by the comfortable cuisine of Hong Kong, Japan and South Korea yet presented in a sophisticated fashion.

They pride themselves on supporting the livelihood of the local community as well as sourcing the freshest of ingredients at the same time. Their menu draws inspiration from Balinese traditional sambal flavours and barbeque style cooking, whilst their cocktail list is the shining star of the short but sweet drinks menu. No need to make a booking for groups less than 10 people, as they take care of you on a walk-in basis.
Located right on the cusp of Canggu’s trendy boutiques and rolling waves, this surf store is the one stop shop for all things enjoyable to ride in the ocean. They stock high-performance crafts, fun twin and single fins as well as accessories and apparel.
Backyards Pool Bar and BBQ
Backyard’s is set up as a place to unwind poolside, whilst biting into a juicy burger and sipping on a refreshing cold drink. A great venue to bring the kids to during the day to enjoy the pool and open space or to enjoy with friends by night whilst listening to their live bands and playing a game billiards.
JI at Bale Sutra 1706
Located below the iconic Japanese fusion restaurant Ji by the Sea is their sophisticated boutique of one-off homewares, accessories and furnishings. Replicative of the Bale Sutra, a Kang XI period temple from 1706 – you can browse their assemblage of majestic ancient arts and antiquities that start from IDR 1,500,000 and proceed upwards in price.
Jalan Pura Dalem
Turning right off Jalan Batu Bolong onto Jalan Pura Dalem and walk approximately 50-metres to find Canggu’s well-known beach club The Lawn. We recommend going with friends and selecting some dishes to indulge in from their casual dining menu whilst you watch the sunset.
Island Beach Bar by Pizza House
This Canggu beachfront restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Their laid back atmosphere complemented by the waves natural soundtrack is great for enjoying a casual breakfast or lunch. We recommend trying their decently sized Pirata Pizza which is made with fresh ingredients, at an affordable price. We think it’s helpful to note that this area of Canggu comes to life at night and thus if you are bringing the family for dinner we recommend going early.
Now that we have reached Batu Bolong Beach, it’s time to enjoy what Canggu is most well-known for – its beaches. Our team took approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to shop until we dropped along Jalan Batu Bolong and that included a few pit stops for smoothie breaks and lunch. We recommend starting your day mid-morning so you can break for lunch or, in the afternoon so you can enjoy sunset drinks on the beachfront.
