Tsubo niwa is a traditional Japanese courtyard garden that’s designed to bring a touch of nature to indoor spaces and introduce natural light. In Nivia, both are achieved to a stunning effect.
Nivia’s courtyard centres around delicate trees which are transformed into living works of art. As you linger before the full wall windows – whether in bed, bath or beyond – you can marvel as soft, fluffy snow gathers on the branches. With the interplay of snow and light, the trees are constantly changing their shape and form. The fact that you have this beguiling scene all to yourself makes it all the more mesmerising.

The kitchen is decked out with Gaggenau appliances, and every piece of cutlery and glassware is of the finest quality. Every aspect of the chalet felt incredibly opulent.
