Bali is the perfect destination for surfers, honeymooners, families… and your girl squad! There is nothing like a good old girls’ trip to lift your spirits and strengthen those female bonds. Here is our guide to organising a girls trip to Bali and our favourite activities for some unapologetic girly fun on the Island of the Gods.

Hit the Spa

There’s nothing that will unwind the mind and revitalise the body quite like a full day spent at the spa with the girls. Bali, of course, is the unofficial spa capital of the world and offers a whole world of pampering ranging from Balinese massages to luxurious facials and beauty treatments.

For the ultimate royal treatments, Gold Dust Beauty Lounge in Canggu offers 24k Gold Facials where pure gold is applied to your skin to lift, firm and hydrate. (It also makes for some epic selfies!)

If you want to get dolled up for the evening, head to the newly opened Blow Bar. Located on Jalan Oberoi, aka Eat Street, Blow Bar offers luxurious hair, nail and beauty treatments. The trendy salon also serves cocktails, wines and champagne!

For the easiest logistics, you can also enjoy private spa treatments at your own villa. Ministry of Villas concierge team can help you arrange massages, nail and hair treatments and more at your villa. Many villas include beautiful massage rooms so you and the girls will feel like royalty.

Shop ‘Til You Drop

Seminyak is Bali’s shopping mecca. The trendy neighbourhood offers a vibrant mix of international brands, independent boutiques and local shacks selling the latest fashions, beautiful home décor and more. Just stroll down Jalan Raya Seminyak and Jalan Oberoi and you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Canggu is fast emerging as a shopping destination in its own right. The main drag of Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong offers cute boutiques selling surf gear and beach wear, but there’s also a great selection of home décor and everyday fashion available in shops like Ivy Bali and Bungalow Living.

Ubud is another great shopping destination in Bali. The village is known as Bali spiritual capital and offers an inspiring mix of local markets and tiny boutiques selling everything from yoga wear to fine silver jewellery and vibrant local textiles.

If you prefer air-conditioned comfort, head to one of the malls. In Seminyak, you’ll find Seminyak Square and Seminyak Village side by side, with plenty of options for shopping and dining. Around Kuta and Legian, try the popular Beachwalk and Mal Bali Galeria.

Dine in Style

Bali is a certifiable foodie heaven. Whether you’re looking to sample some fresh vegan fare or simply want to indulge, Bali’s vibrant dining scene offers a little something for everyone.

If you want to extend your dinner into an all-night dance party (and who wouldn’t!), try Da Maria. This beautifully styled pizza joint has a slogan all girl squads can get behind: No standing, only dancing!

If you’re staying in Ubud, you should definitely visit Room 4 Dessert. As you might have guessed, this high end eatery specialises in gourmet desserts and offers dessert only tasting menus – wine paring is also available!

If you’re travelling with a big group, one great option is to arrange a private barbecue feast or dinner at your villa. Browse Bali villas with a private chef.

Get Your Drink On

When in Rome… drinks with the girls is a must!

For the best sunset views, you can’t go wrong with any of the beach clubs lining the beaches in Seminyak and Canggu. Finns Beach Club is one of the most popular venues in Canggu and we love Azul Beach Club in Legian.

For amazing craft cocktails, try Akademi on trendy Jalan Petitenget or get some sneaky drinks at the speak easy style Bakerstreet Social.

For the most Instagrammable setting for those sunset drinks., try Sea Circus or Motel Mexicola in Seminyak.

Ladies Who Brunch

After a big night out, nothing beats a lavish brunch spread!

For the best all-you-can-eat brunch spreads, it’s best to head to Nusa Dua, where luxury resorts like Mulia and the St. Regis offer amazing five-star cuisine.

For a more relaxed and funkier setting, try restaurants like Milk & Madu or The Joglo in Canggu, which offer yummy ala carte options with a side of live music.
