The Vanuatuan islands offer sea, sand and sun – and some of the most charming beachfront villas one could imagine. These beautiful villas in Vanuatu will make all your island dreams come true. Go ahead and bookmark this post for future travels.

Beach House Chic

Our favourite Vanuatuan villas are light and relaxed in their décor – the perfect match for their laidback surroundings. Villa Anouska’s light interiors wouldn’t look a miss in an elegant Hamptons beach house. Think plump white sofas complemented by red and blue textiles, with bohemian touches adding a relaxed island vibe.

Villa Senang Masari is a beach house like no other – this unique structure is built high up on stilts. The living room is cleverly located on the upper floor of the villa, introducing seemingly endless ocean views as part of the décor of this light-filled space. A coffee table crafted from distressed wood and rattan lanterns add a touch of bohemian Bali to the room.

Bohemian Elegance

And speaking of Bali – we love the bohemian vibes incorporated in many of these villas in Vanuatu. Villa Sarangkita exudes boho chic vibes throughout, from its thatched roof exterior to the laidback interiors. The living room marries natural timber tones with touches of turquoise, echoing the blue hues of the ocean visible through the bifold doors.

Villa Senang Masari is more refined in its décor, but incorporates some subtle bohemian touches to its dominantly white décor. The dreamy hammock on the upper-floor deck definitely deserves a special mention! The most striking feature, however, is the large Vanuatuan mural spanning a full wall, created by local artist Aloi Pilioko.

Private Beach Access

Across the globe, popular beach destinations have undergone such heavy development that travellers looking to find postcard ready views of the ocean will instead be faced with a row of skyscrapers and mega resorts lining the shoreline.

Not so in Vanutu.

On these idyllic islands, many villas offer direct access to your own private slice of paradise. The aptly named Tropical Haven boasts 40 metres of private ocean front, while Villa Anouska offers 180-degree ocean views from its private pool and gardens. If you ask us, nothing says holiday quite like your very own private beach.

Natural Rock Pools

And this brings us to what is perhaps our favourite thing about Vanuatuan villas: natural rock pools carved to the shoreline by mother nature herself. Don’t get us wrong – we love a private swimming pool as much as the next person, but there is something uniquely luxurious about enjoying a dip in a natural pool, with the Pacific Ocean stretching out as far as the eye can see. A true once in a lifetime experience, if you ask us. Villa Senang Masari and Tropical Haven boasts stunning natural rock pools right out front – go ahead, add them to the bucket list.
