The Orchards Niseko is a development of 28 luxurious ski chalets located in West Hirafu, Niseko, just five minutes from the centre of Hirafu Village. The estate feature 2,3,4 and 5-bedroom chalets, each decorated with bespoke furniture and unique features. All chalets share the same modern alpine look with large cathedral windows looking out into Niseko’s stunning mountains. To retain the area’s original rural ambience, close to two hectares at The Orchards Niseko have been preserved as a “green zone” – the main feature of this zone is the large pond surrounded by pine and cherry trees.

The Orchards Niseko Estate
The Orchards Niseko is an estate of 28 private chalets, each ranging from 2-5 bedrooms. Kaede, Momiji, Haru, Aki and Icho have two bedrooms each. Akagashi, Kiri, Ginkyo, Hinoki, Matsu, Kawaakari, Kasumi, Shimai and Kaki three bedrooms. Yuzu, Kitsune, Miyabi, Sawara, Asahidake, Akamatsu, Zakuro, Washi no Su and Goyomatsu have four bedrooms each. Shiroyama, Sankei, Take, Fuji and Shiro-Fukurou are five-bedroom chalets.
The Orchards Niseko Chalets
Each of The Orchards Niseko chalets is unique in its furnishings and design, but all the chalets share the same sophisticated look characterised by peaked roofs and huge picture windows. Open-plan living rooms occupy the top floor of each chalet and feature large windows that survey the powder-laden landscape. The living rooms feature generous sofas and flatscreen TVs equipped with satellite channels, DVD players or Apple TV depending on the chalet. A dining area is built into the open-flow living room with a large table big enough to accommodate the whole group and a fully-equipped modern kitchen.
2 Bedroom Orchards – Icho
Icho is built over two floors, with the two bedrooms on the ground floor and the spacious living and dining areas housed upstairs. The chalet features The Orchard’s signature cathedral windows along with modern furniture and Apple TV. The default configuration is one bedroom with a double bed and one room with two single beds.

Kaede’s layout is the mirror image of twin property Momiji and the two chalets can be combined into a four-bedroom property if needed. Kaede is decorated with Scandinavian inspired furniture with large windows looking over The Orchards Niseko estate. The bedrooms are housed downstairs along with the laundry and ski room. The default configuration is one bedroom with a double bed and one room with two single beds.

The Orchards Niseko Layout
The Orchards Niseko estate is spread out over several acres to ensure privacy for each group of guests. Entering the estate you are greeted by the Gatehouse, which is occupied by estate staff on call to assist with guest requirements; the road that winds through the estate resembles a figure eight with a large pond as centrepiece of the lower loop.

Your stay is made enjoyable by the professional staff who have been professionally trained and will do their utmost to please with their warm and friendly hospitality.
Property Manager
The estate’s experienced and knowledgeable property manager is responsible for the overall operation of each chalet. The property manager will oversee and coordinate the staff and property and assist you during your stay.
Housekeeping
Our chalets in Japan often have housekeeping 1 – 2 times per week depending on the property. Each chalet will have their own cleaning schedule.
Chauffeur
The Orchards Niseko also provide an on-demand shuttle service within Niseko United ski area.

The Orchards Niseko is located in the up and coming area of West Hirafu, about a 3-5 minute drive from the centre of Hirafu Village with its ski lifts, pubs and restaurants. The estate is serviced by a complimentary shuttle so getting around is easy.

Awesome week stay with The Orchards. Even though its not located near the base stations, complimentary private shuttle service to anywhere in Hirafu made going anywhere a total breeze. Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Sawara, a 4 BR chalet with ensuite all located on the first floor and an amazing view in the living/kitchen area on the second floor. Rooms are big and spacious too. Pool table a total hit!

We stayed at Shimai in Orchardniseco!
We visited Niseko on a family trip with three generations and stayed here. It was a special time for us to remember.
Many paintings greeted me from the entrance, and I felt as if I was being warmly welcomed. The second floor living room is lined with artworks, Japanese Ghibli collections, and retro dolls. I played a number of never-before-seen overseas board games that were fun for ages 3 to adults. It was a very attractive space filled with the owner’s thoughts, where you could feel his love for art and Japan.
The large windows offered views of Mt. Yotei, covered in pure white snow, and at the same time it was extraordinary beauty, but also a sense of security, like “another home,” with the same washer-dryer and refrigerator that I happen to use at home. It made the whole family feel truly relaxed.
If you are thinking of a family or group trip in Niseko, we would really recommend this place. I look forward to returning to this place one day. Thank you very much.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Shimai Chalet and were impressed by the quality of the amenities provided. The chalet was thoughtfully equipped with features such as a pool table and a Nintendo Switch with games, which enhanced the overall comfort and enjoyment of our stay.
We would like to offer a suggestion to the owners of The Orchards Niseko. As many guests spend their days skiing or snowboarding, the addition of massage chairs in the chalets would be a valuable enhancement, providing a relaxing and restorative way to unwind after a long day.

Best place to stay in Niseko – The Orchards Niseko Chalet Shimai
My second stay at The Orchards Niseko and it kept up to it’s promise. Stayed in Chalet No 63 called Shimai which was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our group of 6 friends. The chalet has everything you need, including a washer+dryer, private en-suite Onsen, a TV + Nintendo, a BOSE soundbar and a fully equipped kitchen.
While it’s a bit away from the busy Niseko village, we really enjoyed the quietness and the free shuttle service brings/picks you up from the slopes in 5 mins. Even went for a run around the area.

Great chalet
Just spent a fantastic week at Shimai (chalet 63) – the house is cozy, has lots of board games and a nintendo switch, a nice onsen downstairs, comfy beds and a private shuttle to the ski slopes! Had a fantastic time and I will be back next year. Really felt like we were in the middle of nature but also just 5min away from the town and the slopes!

Our stay at Shimai (Chalet #63) was nothing short of amazing! The chalet offered incredible views of the mountains and a fantastic range of amenities that made the stay magical — my favorites being the private home onsen (hits hard after a day on the slopes), board games and Mario Kart for cozy game nights. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well-equipped, modern and had excellent heating which kept us toasty. Getting around was effortless, thanks to the on-demand shuttle service to the ski lifts / restaurants. This chalet exceeded my expectations in every way and I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for the perfect winter retreat.

We loved our stay in the Matsu chalet at the Orchards. It was very spacious, tastefully appointed and had stunning views from both living and dining areas over the resort lake to Mt Yotei and forest behind. We arrived one evening in early December to a little snow on the ground and awoke the next day to a beautiful blanket of snow over everything.
The staff at The Orchards could not have been more accommodating, friendly and helpful. Everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. We loved that our holiday went seamlessly with MNK organising everything from transfers to ski lessons, a snowshoe trip and ski rentals for us. Thank you so much to the staff for their hospitality. We can’t wait to return.

If you are looking for ‘bang for buck’ then look no further. I think these chalets represent fantastic value for money and there is many different chalet options including 2,3,4,5,6 bedroom chalets. They have a shuttle into town and can help arrange ski lessons, etc if you haven’t yet booked anything before arriving into Niseko

This estate is wonderful for families who want to be close to Hirafu but not right in the heart. The estate has 2,3,4,5 bedroom chalets all in a private estate. Only 5 – 10 minutes drive from the heart of town and lifts. This estate is perfect for multiple families wanting to travel together yet stay in seperate accomodation. Great value too!
